05.16.08 JCK's big Birthday bash is ONE WEEK AWAY!

Yes, it's JCK's 21st Birthday party! Bursting with drinks, cake, presents, and an art showing from local artist Adrienne Rae. Come on down for the birthday festivities! We are celebrating in ONE WEEK at Musica in downtown akron. Our excellent friends Vinny Vegas are driving from Baltimore just to play the show! Also playing, will be JCK's other band Apres Vous. This is one show you don't want to miss!

03.16.08 RELAY FOR LIFE CANCER BENEFIT SHOW ANNOUNCED!!

This past summer (Aug. 2007) JCK and Kevin's stepdad Jimmy was diagnosed with lung and brain cancer. The brain tumor was removed, but the lung cancer is in-operable. He is getting the necessary treatments to put his lung cancer into remission. Jimmy's chemo doctor has called him "Superman," because she has never seen another patient handle as much treatment to his body without complaining once! Maid Myriad has been active in rasing money for The American Cancer Society for 6 years now. We are holding a Cancer Benefit show Friday April 11th at Scorchers in Stow to raise money for our Relay for life "Team Jimmy." In addition to raising money, we have the privilege of performing on the main stage of this years RELAY on 5/31 If you would like to make a donation, please visit Team Jimmy Website!

For the past six years, Maid Myriad has been raising money for the American Cancer Society. We have been fortunate enough to play the main stage in the Boardman Relay for Life for the past two years.We are beginning to collect donations for this years Relay For Life.

After a few years, minor setbacks, and many tears, we are proud to announce the release date for our Debut EP "Embrace"

"Embrace" will be released October 26th at Musica as an EP Release/Costume Party Halloween extravaganza.

08.10.07 EP Update

We are nearly there! We have finished all basic tracking for the record at the absolutely gorgeous Studio B in downtown Akron. Chief Engineer Sean Larson has been phenomenal in helping us get the sounds we are looking for. My personal favorite microphone that we are using is the Blue Baby Bottle!

Extra special thanks to Jeremey Poparad for staying up till 4:30 AM and tracking some amazing guitar for the album.

We are playing a 45 minute set with a full four piece band Friday September 21st at Musica. At this show, we will be handing out CDs with two songs from the EP. This will be the first taste of Maid Myriad for everyone to hear! Please come and show your support as it will be an AMAZINGLY fun time!!

07.16.07 EP, MERCH updates

JCK here from the ever-so-beautiful Casimir Soundscapes

We are nearing the end of recording our debut EP entitled "Embrace". Recording has been a very, very long process, but we have been attracting the best takes and sounds possiible. Kev and I our very picky about our art and want to make sure it sounds as good as it possibly can. Thanks for understanding and sticking with us for all this time! We are still yet to transfer our music to the gorgeous Studio B where Sir Sean Larson will lend his talents to mixing, mastering and producing the EP. But we are almost there!

Thats not all we've been up to.

We have also been working on artwork for the album, T-shirts, buttons, and sticker designs, as well as the launch of our website. We have been working hard and CANNOT wait to bring you all the things we have been dreaming of for years.

The B-Sides Record Store is almost officially open for business!! We will be playing the GRAND OPENING tomorrow night at Musica! 05.05.07 Grand Prize!

Thanks to everyone who came last night to The Stow High Talent Show. I found myself laughing hysterically at Jason Leupold's comedy routine, Dancing along with The Blue Man Group, Rocking out with Soup, and all around having an awesome time. It was excellent seeing friends that I had not seen for years! Looks like the school is still in order! We ended up winning Grand Prize! It was a blast returning to the stage that I still call my "home" stage. Special thanks to everyone who was involved with organizing the Talent Show.

05.01.07 Relay For Life/Talent Show

It's that time of year again, the weather is changing, allergies are returning, and Relay For Life is coming up. For the past 6 years, Kevin and I have been participating in The American Cancer Society's Relay for Life, a fundraiser to find a cure for Cancer. We have raised thousands of dollars trying to make a difference. Last year, I played an acoustic set on the main stage. This year, Maid Myriad is playing the main stage! It's going to definitely be a fun time. We are playing an hour set full of new material, and even some cover songs (we never do cover songs!)  If you are in the Boardman OH area, please come down and show your support for an excellent cause

04.15.07 Orange Street Show Last Night

Thanks to everyone who attended our special acoustic set at The Orange Street last night! I felt a strange connection with everyone during the intimate set. We unveiled a few new songs, as well as a JCK song that nobody had heard (not even Kevin) Thanks again!

03.15.07 Studio B Grand Opening

Ah the sweet smell of hard work. Us boys from Maid Myriad have been working tirelessly to help build THE Premier Recording Studio in Akron. We have been painting, buling and all around constructing the spot from the ground up. This has been a long project, and we are now nearing the GRAND OPENING. We will unleash Studio B to the world on March 30th 2007. We will be giving tours of the studio, as well as hosting live music downstairs. Maid Myriad will be playing a special acoustic set! Make sure you come check out the brand new studio, and some new acoustic arrangements!

Good evening everyone! So wonderful of you to stop by our space! We are so glad to have you here. Kevbo and I are extremely excited about Maid Myriad. We hope you will enjoy the music as much as we do!

First off, thanks for everyone who showed their support at the Stow High School Battle Of The Bands November 10th. We had a blast playing for everyone. Thanks to Adam Recktenwald and Friends of The Theatre for sponsoring the event. Special thanks to the boys from South Of Salem, Soup, FYSF, Apostrophe, and Burn The Courtyard. All of the bands did an excellent job! Congrats to Soup for a well deserved First Place!

Maid Myriad has news for everyone! We have decided to move our EP release to Fall. We believe we are on the right track, and we want to follow this creative thread to bring you something bigger than we initially thought possible. We have been working tirelessly on the new songs which I am ecstatic about sharing with everyone. We truly feel like we are expressing OURselves and creating art in the purest form. Music.

04.20.06 Begin

Hello everyone, JCK here. As you know, I have been playing solo acoustic sets all this year with new songs, old songs, and cover songs. Although I enjoy playing acoustic, Many of my original songs are written for a full band. That is why I am starting this new project called Maid Myriad. This will be a tad different than my other projects. My younger brother Kevin will be playing drums and percussion and I will be handling everything else until we find other musicians that have the dedication and drive that we do. Thank you for supporting my solo project. I had a fun time, but Maid Myriad is where my heart is now. Thank you again for listening. We will begin to play shows in October. Until then, stay tuned, and stay focused.
